After reading several articles on the Col. Bob Trail, you might want to check out the Washington Trails Association website under Volunteer — Backcountry Response teams.
A work party for that trail is planned for June 8-12. I know someone who will be on that trip and there will be plenty of hard workers and saws attacking the mess!
Oh, yeah, they don't use chainsaws.
