On Sept 30th the Olympic Peninsula lost a legend in the Washington Conservation Community; lifelong activist and advocate for the environment and all things Wild, our friend and colleague Bob Lynette, who died of cancer at age 88.
As a Sequim resident Bob started the North Olympic Group of the Sierra Club and was one of the Co-Founders of the Wild Olympics Campaign. He was a humble giant with a brilliant political mind, and he was central to helping get Wild Olympics off the ground. We mourn his loss, and we will miss him.
Joel Connelly wrote a beautiful send-off for Bob HERE, including his work for Wild Olympics, and below is Bob’s full obituary from his family in which they highlight some of his many accomplishments over his extraordinary life.
