As a local supporter of the Wild Olympics Campaign, I'm confused at to why the Working Wild Olympics people keep putting up the "900 million dollar" signs when they've admitted they are deceiving and un-true? If they are misleading us about this, what else are they misleading us about?
I read Al Carter's op-ed piece and was glad to receive some additional clarification related to the Wild Olympics Campaign. Given the importance of this issue, we should be focusing the conversation around the facts. Yes, times are tough right now. Given the economic challenges our local community faces, healthy community dialogue on all issues relevant to our community is good. However, healthy community debate is more useful when that debate is open and honest. I'm 100 percent behind our commissioners' decision to keep an open mind while obtaining additional fact based information about the Wild Olympics Campaign.
